“Call of the Wild” Art Competition
In August 2025, KilnRoom JDZ proudly hosted our Call of the Wild Art Festival within our private studio and gallery.
We curated a two-week artist residency and creative competition for seven international and Chinese artists, each paired with our handpicked local Jingdezhen artist mentors. With full access to our kiln facilities, local resources and professional guidance, artists created compelling work throughout the program.
Completed pieces were displayed in our on-site sculpture garden for our vibrant in-house festival. Guests voted for standout art while enjoying live music, refreshments, yoga, craft workshops and curated art entertainment.
The competition winner, Jason Lim from Singapore, earned a free one-year residency with our studio, which is still ongoing. He will hold a solo exhibition with us once his residency concludes. Furthermore, artwork from participating competitors and our mentor artists are featured in a traveling exhibition across China.
